Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Physician Services is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, extender, or RN. You will perform both front office and back office duties in accordance with established guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a GED or HS diploma and completed a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or have two years of related clinical experience. CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS are preferred upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Duty assignments vary and include front office and back office functions.
