Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Physician Services in Athens, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, performing front office and back office duties. Qualifications include a GED or high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of related clinical experience.

CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS are required at hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting with MA/NA program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse.
• Assist with front office and back office functions as part of routine clinical workflow.
