Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City is hiring Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic for a full-time position. Expect to prepare patients, take vital signs, review history, assist with in-office testing, administer vaccines, and coordinate follow-up visits with the care team.

This role emphasizes patient preparation, documentation in Epic, rooming, and screening to close care gaps.

Formación

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certification/registration as Medical Assistant (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is accepted.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for visit by collecting vital signs, chief complaint and allergies.
• Conducts medication reconciliation and updates Epic documentation.
• Assists with in-office testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
• Administers vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and coordinates care with the team.

Position Details:

Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Northwest Expressway

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Accepting applications for MA, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic!

Overview:

• Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.
• Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKG’s, walking oxygen studies and point of care testing.
• Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
• Schedules follow up appointments when needed per office policy.
• Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
• Certified Medical Assistant
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

LPN Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensure: Active LPN license in the state of practice.
• Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.
