Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Patient Care Medical Assistant to work with Mercy Primary Care Providers. You will provide safe, timely, effective, and patient-centered care in a team-based setting at the Cape Girardeau clinic.

You will assist with patient flow, vitals, and room preparation, supporting providers and the care team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred and one year of related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mercy Primary Care Providers and team to deliver safe, timely patient-centered care.

• Attend MA Clinic Academy training and participate in clinic activities.

Job Profile Summary

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
