Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast- Cardiovascular Consultants in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time daytime position. The role involves assisting physicians and office staff with patient care activities and upholding Mercy’s philosophy of caring for patients and respecting human life.

New hires will attend MA Clinic Academy training. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of related patient care or medical office experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and office staff with patient care activities.
• Adhere to Mercy’s standards of nursing practice and caring philosophy in interactions with patients and families.
• Perform duties as assigned within the clinic and participate in training sessions as required.
