Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast – Cardiovascular Consultants in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant who supports physicians and office staff with patient care activities, aligned with Mercy's philosophy of caring for the sick and the dignity of every person.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, graduates from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and at least one year of patient care or medical office experience.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician and office staff with patient care activities consistent with established nursing standards.
• Integrates Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, human life dignity and Christian values into daily duties.
• Communicates with patients, families, visitors and co-workers in a caring, friendly, personal and professional manner.
• Performs related duties as assigned and participates in required training.
