Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join our Athens, GA team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care with a supportive staff, including 1 nurse practitioner and 2 medical assistants. New grads are welcome to apply.

The role offers a stable M-F schedule with no weekend or on-call duties, a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits as part of the Piedmont network across Georgia.

Qualifications

• BC/BE MD eligible to practice in GA.
• Active GA medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Moderate patient volume (18–22 patients/day).
• General sick and well visits; basic dermatology procedures.
• M-F schedule with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide general internal medicine care for sick and well visits.
• Perform basic dermatology procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with a support staff of 1 NP and 2 MAs.
• Participate in a physician governance and quality-focused environment.
