A local preschool in Round Rock, Texas is looking for an experienced Primary 2 Lead teacher. In this role, you will plan and implement activities promoting the development of young children. The preschool offers a competitive compensation package and values its employees. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an active EC-6 Certificate preferred.
• Must meet basic requirements of Texas childcare licensing.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Positive attitude and team player; bring energy to campus daily.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the Small World Employee Handbook.

As a Lead teacher, you will plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with The Frog Street curriculum approach to teaching and learning, specifically for 3 year olds.
