Job summary

The Archdiocese of Hartford is seeking a compassionate Benefits Coordinator to administer benefits for priests, serving as the primary confidential contact. Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business administration, healthcare administration, accounting, or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of benefits/HR experience with payroll support or leave administration.
• Working knowledge of HRIS or benefits systems and payroll processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and benefits/retirement software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary and confidential benefits contact for active and retired priests.
• Administer priest benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, Medicare, retiree healthcare).
• Assist with eligibility, enrollment, coverage questions, claims, and deadlines.
• Coordinate Medicare enrollment, retiree healthcare, and retirement transitions.
• Provide administrative support during hospitalizations and transitions to care settings.
• Maintain confidential records and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and HRIS data maintenance.
