As an integral part of the Spiritual Care Department, he ministers to the religious, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients, families and staff of St. Jude Medical Center OR St. Joseph of Orange, placing special emphasis on the sacramental needs of Catholic patients. The priest chaplain reports to the Director of the Spiritual Care Department.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Completed (preferred) or in the process of completing 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Master's Degree in Theology/Spirituality/Pastoral Ministry.
• Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of pastoral experience following ordination.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
