Job Title: Pricing Specialist – Air & Sea Freight

Location: CVG Airport, Hebron, KY

Reports To: Pricing Manager / Branch Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pricing Specialist with a strong background in Air and Sea Freight to join our team at CVG Airport. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding, a solid understanding of global logistics operations, and the ability to analyze, prepare, and manage pricing for international freight movements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive pricing for international Air and Ocean freight quotes, including import and export.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and global network partners to gather required information for rate requests and tenders.
• Analyze carrier tariffs, rate sheets, and routing options to determine best service and pricing solutions.
• Negotiate rates with carriers, consolidators, and overseas agents as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain and update pricing databases, rate matrices, and internal tools.
• Respond to customer and internal pricing requests within required timeframes (typically 24–48 hours).
• Support RFQs, bids, and tender submissions by providing timely and strategic pricing input.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve margin performance without sacrificing service levels.
• Stay current with market conditions, surcharges, and capacity trends affecting pricing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and global trade regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on Air and/or Sea Freight.
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes, Incoterms, and carrier pricing structures.
• Proven experience preparing rates for RFQs, spot quotes, and formal tenders.
• Excellent negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-related systems (e.g., CargoWise, Cargonet, INTTRA) is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple pricing requests under tight deadlines.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving.
