Job summary

ShopRite – Rio Grande, NJ seeks a Scanning Clerk to provide excellent customer service while maintaining accurate pricing and efficient store operations. The role involves updating weekly price changes, keeping pricing files in line with ads, and ensuring proper tagging and scanning of items.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to work in varying temperatures, and good teamwork. Benefits include standard store-employee plans and opportunity for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic math skills required for pricing and calculations.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, reach, and work in variable temperatures.
• Operate a computer terminal and calculator as part of daily tasks.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly price changes and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Maintain pricing files to align with ads and circulars.
• Manage UPL tags and ensure proper tagging of items.
• Ensure pricing integrity on the sales floor and proper signage.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment; sanitize surfaces.
