Job summary

ShopRite of Pennington is hiring a Scanning Clerk to help maintain pricing integrity and provide friendly customer service. You will handle price changes, ensure items are scanned correctly, and assist in store operations.

The role requires reading and basic math, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to stand for long shifts in varying temperatures. Teamwork and dependable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull; regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Operate a computer terminal and calculator.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete weekly price changes and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain pricing file accuracy with weekly circulars and ads.
• Maintain UPL tags and ensure compliance with pricing standards.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way and provide prompt service.
• Greet customers and report equipment problems promptly.
