Job summary

Gap Inc. is building a foundational pricing function and seeks a Senior Analyst, Pricing Optimization to run day-to-day models, prepare data, and validate outputs for informed pricing and promotional decisions.

You will support data preparation, elasticity inputs, and scenario modeling, while ensuring rigorous quality checks and collaboration with finance partners in a fast-paced AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-4 years of pricing analytics/demand planning/merchandise planning or related field; internship or co-op acceptable.
• Foundational analytical skills and desire to build proficiency in pricing model execution: data prep, elasticity inputs, sensitivity analysis, promo effectiveness, scenario modeling.
• Experience or aptitude working with AI-generated analytical outputs and human oversight before decisions.
• Comfort with reporting and analytics platforms; quick to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain pricing and promo data for assigned work streams; pull, clean, and organize datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Run pricing models and scenario analyses, applying elasticity inputs, sensitivity params, and promos to produce clean outputs.
• Validate data inputs and outputs; flag anomalies and ensure accuracy before moving forward.
• Support in-season monitoring of pricing actions; track performance and surface optimization opportunities.
• Use AI reporting tools and pricing platforms; ensure data integrity and escalate when needed to avoid errors.
• Assemble analytical work into clean packages for reviews; build data tables and summaries for stakeholders.
• Prepare data pulls and performance summaries for weekly and monthly business reviews; ensure clear organization for the team.
• Translate analytical outputs into plain business terms; connect data to margin, revenue, and promo performance.
