The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Pricing Manager to drive revenue optimization for our adhesives and dispensing equipment business through strategic pricing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a background in finance, economics, business, or marketing, with strong data analysis, financial modeling, and pricing strategy expertise. They excel in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation, ensuring pricing aligns with business goals. Proficiency in pricing software, negotiation skills, value-based pricing, and cross-functional collaboration is essential, along with a keen understanding of cost structures, supply chain impacts, and dynamic pricing models to maximize profitability.

The Pricing Manager collaborates with key teams to ensure pricing strategies align with business goals. They work closely with Sales & Marketing to refine competitive positioning, Finance & Accounting to optimize profitability, Product Management to assess value and costs, Operations & Supply Chain to streamline production efficiencies, and IT & Data Analytics to leverage automation and insights for data-driven pricing decisions.

This is a remote role but living in CST. or EST. is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to align pricing models with business goals.
  • Lead commercial leadership team by approving / advising on pricing decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing trends, provide insight, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and present pricing analytics, trends, and insights to senior management.
  • Administer and maintain pricing model (Excel), collaborate with finance and IT to develop pricing tool within existing data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales and margins.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Lead special pricing projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing to create scalable practices for prioritizing and coordinating sales and marketing efforts aligned with business and solution growth priorities.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Certification in pricing strategy or revenue management (e.g., CPP – Certified Pricing Professional).
  • Advanced coursework in data analytics, market research, or supply chain management.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, finance, or related roles within the chemical industry required.
  • Experience with pricing software and analytical tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
  • 2+ years in chemical sales is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including the ability to build and run complex pricing models, perform scenario analysis, and utilize advanced functions like Power Query, VBA macros, and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior in the chemical sector.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry-specific pricing constraints.
  • Experience with introducing, implementing, and running pricing software such as Salesforce CPQ, Vendavo, PROS or other pricing for strategy execution and monitoring.
  • Possess strong reporting skills to analyze pricing trends, track financial performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient in data visualization, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools to create clear, accurate reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Can translate complex pricing data into meaningful recommendations, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with sales and finance teams.
  • Strategic thinking to optimize pricing models for profitability.
  • Leadership abilities to mentor and influence drive pricing initiatives.
  • An estimated 10-20% of travel is required.
