Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a diligent stock clerk to maintain pricing documentation, UPC files, and weekly ad items in scanning systems. You will test scans for all vendors and keep meticulous records for retail accounting while supporting store operations and customer service.

The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, adherence to safety and dress code policies, and strong communication with customers and associates in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store UPC File (price changes, deletions, new items)
• Check in and test scan all vendors
• Maintain weekly ad item in scanning file
• Perform housekeeping in the computer room (filters, floor, battery backups, power fail test)
• Copy PLU File twice a week
• Maintain documentation on all retail accounting
• Test scan entire store every 6–8 weeks
• Maintain Special Report File (A.C. Nielsen, Sami, Special Item Movement)
• Perform other duties as assigned by store manager and scanning supervisors
• Adhere to company policies, dress code, grooming, sanitation, and harassment/discrimination policies
• Work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights; weekends and holidays as needed
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
