Job summary

MoonPay in New York is seeking a Staff Pricing Data Scientist to define partner pricing across on-ramp, off-ramp, swaps and bundles. You will build pricing calculators, deal-sizing models, and transparency dashboards to speed decisions and improve revenue.

Collaborating with Finance, Partnerships, Product, Compliance, and Legal, you will ensure pricing is competitive and aligned with contract terms. The role requires deep pricing analytics, strong SQL and Python, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• Deep experience in pricing, monetization, or commercial analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; comfortable with large transactional datasets.
• Experience designing pricing structures such as tiering, bundling, volume discounts, and take-rate models.
• AI fluency: comfortable building internal tools with AI assistance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pricing strategy for products and bundles, including tiers and concessions.
• Make partner pricing changes within guardrails and document rationale.
• Review pricing using partner volume, conversion, and cost data to optimize revenue.
• Build AI-powered tools for pricing, such as calculators and dashboards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Partnerships, Product, Compliance, and Legal to ensure competitive pricing.
• Create frameworks and guidance to reduce ad-hoc pricing escalations.
