Job description

Pricing Architect

Mondrio Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

About this position

At Mondrio we’re on a mission to build the future of pricing: agentic pricing management. We see many brilliant companies that deliver great products, but forget a key part: How to monetize the value they are delivering.

We believe that monetization should be data-driven and that it should not be a one-time exercise. It should be something that evolves as products, markets, or sales motions change. Our AI-native platform equips companies to bring that pricing intelligence into strategy and deal decisions.

We believe the highest-stakes pricing decisions still need an expert in the room that fosters long-term relationships with our clients. That expert is you. You lead customer engagements end-to-end: guide the highest stakes decisions, onboard teams to make best use of our platform, and turn learnings into signals that make our AI pricing engine sharper.

About Mondrio

Mondrio is a fast-growing startup built on deep pricing experience from our founding team who have run 150+ pricing engagements. We’ve seen firsthand how companies struggle with pricing and leave money on the table. We’ve also seen firsthand how companies that make pricing a continuous capability thrive.

Our team is designed to deliver that capability. Today our team of eight has pricing experts and engineers. Our main hubs are San Francisco and Amsterdam, which means we cover North American and European market. We believe that those markets are key to building a category-defining company.

We’re backed by investors who've helped build leading tech companies and expect to grow the team 2-3x in the coming 12 months. Joining now means you’ll actively shape the product, the team, and the way we run engagements. If that kind of ownership and entrepreneurship sounds energizing rather than daunting, then this role is for you.

What you’ll do
Own pricing engagements end-to-end
  • Lead customer engagements independently, from discovery to a live pricing and proposition model.
  • Design the segmentation, packaging, price metrics, and monetization logic that fit each customer’s business.
  • Stay on after go‑live to drive continuous pricing optimization as the customer grows.
Drive customer success and growth
  • Be the trusted pricing advisor for stakeholders, from operators to executives.
  • Set expectations, align on value, and prove impact.
  • Spot expansion opportunities and turn them into upsell.
Make the product better
  • Work inside the Mondrio platform and pricing engine every day, on real customer problems.
  • Give continuous, specific feedback: where the AI's recommendations land, where they miss, what's needed next.
  • Partner with product and engineering to sharpen the engine.
Your first 90 days
  • Lead multiple customer engagements from start to finish: run alignment workshops, market research, analyses, and collaborate to optimize their proposition and pricing.
  • Help customers make their new model stick and build a continuous pricing capability: support rollout, onboard sales to improve execution, and help position new features.
  • Provide product feedback from customer work to improve our engine’s recommendations and build the right things next.
  • Help capture learnings from your way of working so we can develop a repeatable motion that other Pricing Architects can follow.
  • Identify potential prospects and join sales pitches for Mondrio to help move real deals forward.
What we’re looking for
  • 5‑7+ years in pricing, commercial strategy, or revenue management, from either Tier 1 strategy consulting or a pricing/revenue role in tech or SaaS.
  • Deep pricing and commercial value‑creation expertise: segmentation, packaging, price metrics, discounting, and willingness‑to‑pay methods.
  • A passion for driving work streams from concept to execution and outcomes, with an eye for quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present confidently and build connections across C‑level executives and cross‑functional teams.
  • Real excitement about AI, and the confidence to steer AI‑driven work. You don’t need to build it yourself.
  • Success and an ability to thrive working in a fast‑paced, high‑ambiguity startup environment.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Hands‑on use of GenAI/LLM tools in your work today.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others.
  • Comfort with data (spreadsheets, SQL) to dig into pricing analysis.
  • Work authorization: You must be authorized to work in the NL. We’re unable to sponsor visas at this time.
How we work

We deeply care about ownership and equipping our team to be able successfully take that ownership. In practice, that means every pricing architect leads customer engagements. You own outcomes and scope your own work; there's no layer between you and the problem. Our product is AI‑native, and so is the way we build: AI does the heavy lifting on research and analysis, and experts stay in the loop for the calls that matter. This role sits right at that seam.

What we offer
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary plus meaningful equity through our employee stock option plan (ESOP). We aim to be highly competitive on cash and generous on equity — joining at this stage means a real stake in what we build together.
  • Benefits: On top of that we offer an attractive package of benefits including health coverage, pension/retirement provision, generous paid time off, paid parental leave. This compensation and benefits information is based on our good faith estimate for this position as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. Employees based outside of the Netherlands will receive a different benefits package. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including where you place on our internal performance ladders, which is based on factors including past work experience, relevant education, and performance on our interviews or in a work trial.
  • Full ownership of customer engagements end-to-end.
  • A team where your impact is visible.
  • An opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company.
  • Daily work with, and real influence over, a cutting‑edge AI pricing engine.
  • Continuous exposure to the newest AI tools and techniques.
How to apply
  • Send your CV or LinkedIn, plus a short note that covers three topics:
  • A pricing or monetization problem you owned end-to-end: what you changed, and what happened.
  • An AI tool or workflow you've adopted to work faster or better — what you do with it, and the difference it's made.
  • An example of something you started or built from nothing — a company, a side project, a new practice inside a bigger org. What made you go, and what came of it.
