Formica is seeking a pricing analytics professional to partner with Sales leadership in shaping pricing strategies aligned with market trends. You will monitor price files, rebates, quotes, and promotions while driving automation and reporting improvements.

Qualifications

• B.S. with concentration in mathematics, statistics, finance or economics; MBA preferred.
• Experience in pricing, statistics, mathematics, marketing, product management, corporate finance or strategy.
• Proficiency with advanced Excel functions.
• Experience with BI tools, preferably QlikView.
• Ability to manage complex data sets.

Job description

• Work with Sales leaders to develop and implement pricing strategies aligned to market trends
• Monitor all pricing administration systems & processes including:
  • Customer price files, distributor rebate program, quotes, promotional programs, inter-company pricing & customer price increases
• Instill discipline in our processes to ensure price files are accurate and price changes are approved per company guidelines
• Review pricing disputes and take corrective actions to prevent future issues
• Collaborate with business leaders to:
  • Modernize pricing systems and processes to maximize profitability
  • Automate routine price administration tasks and report generation
  • Collaborate with business leaders on the design of BI solutions aimed at providing self-serve analytics tools
• Conduct ad-hoc profitability analysis of customers and products to identify revenue generating opportunities
• Provide sales and profitability reports to management as needed
• Work with all business functions and our customer base on issues/topics related to pricing and rebates
• Support special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• A. / B.S. with a concentration in mathematics, statistics, finance or economics and preferably will have an MBA.
• Significant experience, leadership and insight expected in one or more of the following:
  • Pricing, statistics, mathematics, marketing, product management, corporate finance or strategy
• Proficiency with advanced Excel functions
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (preferably QlikView)
• Given the complexity of Formica’s product and pricing mechanisms, the ability to manage complex data sets is critical.
