Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Pricing & Rates Analyst to drive pricing analyses, model customer rates, and support regulatory initiatives. You will help shape pricing strategies, monitor rate performance, and contribute to the design and rollout of new pricing products.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in technical/analytical field is preferred
• Advanced degree and/or certifications a plus but not required
• Expertise with Excel and proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience working with large datasets and generating data visualizations
• Utility industry experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to use data analysis and visualization to ascertain key takeaways, emerging risks and opportunities
• Ability to communicate data and findings clearly and succinctly to diverse audiences
• Capacity to understand, interpret, and apply cost-based pricing principles and rate design concepts
• Effectiveness collaborating across domains to solve multi-dimensional problems

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor existing rates to ensure that the present applicability, structure and format of rates are effective
• Produce comparisons to forecast, historical periods, and utility peers
• Perform analysis of customer behavior, usage trends, and bill impacts
• Respond to internal and external data requests
• Support rate design in associated regulatory filings including developing Minimum Filing Requirements (MFR’s)
• Assist the Company’s efforts toward the development and implementation of new pricing products to ensure successful outcomes and positive customer experiences
• Create innovative analyses, processes, and reporting that improves efficiency
