Job summary

Electric Cities of Georgia Inc is seeking a Principal Analyst in Analytical Services to provide expert consulting on COS, rate design, and related economic analyses for member cities. You will lead rate studies, 10-year projections, and competitive pricing research while presenting findings to city leadership and commissions.

You will also develop rate strategies, support billing analyses, and assist in the creation of computer models, data issues, and standard reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, computer information systems, mathematics, business, or related field.
• 10–15 years of related work experience; 5–10 years in utility work preferred.
• Practical knowledge in finance and accounting; cost-allocation is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and written/oral communication skills.
• Integrity, professionalism and confidentiality; self-starter and multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepares COS and Retail Rate studies with data collection, analyses and reports.
• Develops long-term rate strategies including 10-year projections and multi-year rate design.
• Present COS Retail Rate studies to leadership, city councils and commissions.
• Assists in design of specialized rate strategies and Power Cost Adjustments.
• Revises COS studies and rate design models for efficiency and clarity.
