Job summary

Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, seeks a Pricing & Rates Analyst to model and evaluate customer rates, support regulatory initiatives, and shape new pricing strategies. You will monitor rate performance, visualize findings, and help design and roll out pricing products to deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in technical/analytical field preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or certifications a plus but not required.
• Expertise with Excel and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience working with large datasets and generating data visualizations.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor existing rates to ensure present applicability, structure and format of rates are effective.
• Produce comparisons to forecast, historical periods, and utility peers.
• Perform analysis of customer behavior, usage trends, and bill impacts.
• Respond to internal and external data requests.
• Support rate design in associated regulatory filings including developing Minimum Filing Requirements (MFR’s).
• Assist the Company’s efforts toward the development and implementation of new pricing products to ensure successful outcomes and positive customer experiences.
• Create innovative analyses, processes, and reporting that improves efficiency.
