Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks a pricing professional to support the generation of cost/price detail for proposals, ROMs, and what-if analyses, using JPL's pricing tools and published rates. Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 3+ years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 1+ year.
• Broad knowledge in proposal pricing, cost estimating, BOE generation and government contracting (FAR).
• Extensive understanding of pricing concepts and estimating in federal government contracting, industry, or academia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex pricing concepts to technical and business personnel.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide Laboratory wide support for the generation of cost/price detail including proposals, Task Plans, ROMs, what-if exercises using JPL pricing tools.
• Provide audit support and analysis of cost information for customer and JPL management reviews; ensure compliance with internal and government regulations.
• Review adequacy of Basis of Estimates and required approvals for pricing submittals.
• Support engineering and business functions to ensure complete estimating for labor, materiel and subcontracted efforts in proposal planning and task orders.
• Perform cost analysis on subcontract proposals and participate in peer reviews and approval of pricing products.
• Educate personnel on cost estimation and proposal-related topics as needed.
