Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. in Auburn, WA is seeking a Pricing Analyst Level 1 to join our Pricing Department. You will enter a 6–12 month training program to learn pricing and costing requests, prepare quotes, review pricing agreements, and collaborate with Field Logistics Specialists.

After training, you will manage pricing on field accounts with support from a seasoned team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented, and proficient in MS Office with strong numerical skills.

Qualifications

• LTL rating and pricing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Pricing Supervisor or Analyst for training.
• Build LTL pricing knowledge base during 6–12 months.
• Analyze pricing and costing requests using SMC3 (TCG).
• Run pricing recommendations and spot quotes for review.
• Collaborate with Field Logistics Specialists on pricing requests.
• Review pricing agreements for accuracy and update contract manager as needed.
• After training, price field accounts; territory may change.
• Cost Shipment files using SMC3 (TCG) costing system.

Pricing Analyst Level 1

The Pricing Analyst develops competitive, customer-specific LTL pricing to support revenue and business growth. Through a 6–12 month training program, this position learns to analyze pricing and costing requests using SMC3 (TCG), prepare quotes, review pricing agreements, and collaborate with Field Logistics Specialists. Upon completing training, the analyst assumes responsibility for assigned field accounts. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are essential, with LTL rating and pricing experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shadow current Pricing Supervisor or Analyst for job overview and training.
• Build LTL Pricing knowledge base, learn common industry trends, and business sense over the course of 6-12 months.
• Throughout training, conduct both supervised and unsupervised analysis of pricing and costing requests using continual knowledge gained and SMC3 (TCG) costing system.
• Run personal pricing recommendations and spot quotes through Level II pricing analyst (s) and /or Pricing Supervisor for review, constructive feedback, and overall training purposes.
• Work with Field Logistics Specialists on Pricing requests and inquires to provide competitive customer specific pricing for revenue and business growth.
• Review new and existing pricing agreements for accuracy via pricing workflow and/or email with entries placed into contract manager as needed.
• After training is complete will be responsible for pricing on field accounts (territory will be subject to change as needed).
• Cost Shipment files using SMC3 (TCG) costing system.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Organized and detail oriented.
• Analytical and good with numbers, calculations and percentages.
• Experience with LTL rating and pricing preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to present to customers. Ability to listen for understanding and interpret customer requests.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and customer requirements simultaneously.
• Effective skills working as a member of a team and ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong PC proficiency, analytical skills and experience using MS Office products.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
