Job summary

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Pricing Analyst I to support pricing for new customer deals and maintain pricing for existing customers. You will analyze market trends, manage pricing data in SAP, and collaborate with Sales on pricing questions.

Qualifications include a BS in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, or related field, 1–2 years in pricing or finance, strong data analysis, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce or SQL is a plus.

How You'll Make An Impact

ThePricing Analyst is responsible for supporting the pricing activities as needed for all new customer deals and maintaining pricing for all existing customers. This role will also provide analytical support and assistance in the development of market pricing for customer segmentations, including responding to pricing questions from customers and/or the Sales team. Also, maintains and updates pricing records and participates in special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform data analysis to understand market trends, competitive positioning and provide recommendations to senior management on pricing strategies that align with business objectives.
• Provide pricing approval workflow process and support set-up of new pricing requests, including potentialsetup of new customers and maintaining new/existing customer pricing data in SAP
• Inputting, verifying, and maintaining customer pricing records and price sheets; providing support and ongoing review of price elements, including discounts, promotions, marketing funds, and others as requested. Providing clear process to the Sales team on approval required for all requests.
• Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to understand market dynamics and review of current pricing.
• Special projects as assigned

What You’ll Need

• BS in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of pricing, marketing, and/or finance experience, preferably in a distributed services organization.
• Strong data analysis skills. Financial/business modeling experience is a plus.
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons.
• Initiative; originate productive actions without specific instructions; generate new ideas, processes and approaches to meet business needs.
• Ability to be a change agent in instituting best practices to drive operational performance and effectiveness across the group. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Attention to detail with an ability to organize data effectively.
• Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies for reporting using business intelligence tools are a plus.
• Analytical skills to conduct basic research analyze data and prepare recommendations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience working with SalesForce, SQL, and pricing software are a plus.
• SAP/S4 experience preferred
