Job summary

MS Reinsurance is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support the actuarial pricing team in Miami. The role involves assisting with case pricing, rate monitoring, and validation within the technical pricing framework, while collaborating across departments to improve models and pricing processes.

The candidate should have a university degree in math, CS, or physics, 2 CAS exams with ACAS/FCAS progress, and 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in reinsurance pricing and ISO/Verisk data.

Qualifications

• University degree in math, computer science, physics or similar.
• At least 2 CAS exams passed and progress towards ACAS/FCAS.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with reinsurance pricing preferred.
• Experience working with ISO/Verisk data products preferred.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills.
• Strong IT skills (Excel, VBA, SQL) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate actuarial input that contributes to underwriting decision making and financial targets.
• Data manipulation and preparation; reconciliation of data between submissions; analysis of large or unusual claim movements.
• Produce draft pricing results with explanations of cost drivers and material movements.
• Review and validate rate change calculations within pricing framework.
• Develop understanding of existing pricing models for future development.
• Contribute to development and parameterization of new pricing models.
• Assist in production and validation of portfolio pricing statistics.
• Collaborate with pricing and actuarial team on pricing approaches and analyses.
• Assist in other pricing team activities as appropriate.
