Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Pricing Analyst to optimize revenue and pricing models for inventory within the Purchasing Department. The role reports to the Pricing Manager and focuses on daily pricing activities, market research, and analysis of demand trends to maximize value from inventory.

The ideal candidate has aviation experience, strong Excel and database skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of aviation experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience analyzing sales and pricing of assets or commodities
• Familiarity with aviation industry and aircraft documents
• Familiarity with sourcing aircraft parts to fulfill customer requirements
• Extensive spreadsheet and database skills
• Self-directed with ability to work onsite full-time and in a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pricing activities, including market and price research for inquiries from Sales and pricing requests/RFPs.
• Analyze research, demand, and market trends to set prices for new inventory.
• Review and adjust pricing for aging or slow-moving inventory.
• Use established procedures and tools to complete pricing inquiries and inventory management.
• Contribute to process improvements by utilizing the quality system.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed.

Job description

The role of the Pricing Analyst is critical to ensure that our client is producing the best value from its inventory. Optimizing revenue and pricing models for our client’s inventory is a key role within the Purchasing Department, and data gathered by the Pricing Analyst is essential for its function. This position will report directly to the Pricing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pricing activities, including market and price research related to inquiries from the Sales Department and coordination of pricing requests/RFPs.
• Conduct thorough analysis of research, demand, and market trends to set prices for new inventory.
• Review and adjust pricing for aging or slow-moving inventory.
• Effectively and efficiently use established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete inquiries related to pricing and management of inventory.
• Actively participate in process improvements by utilizing the quality system.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of Inventory Locator Service (ILS) and other industry supply resources is a big plus

Work Environment

Hours: 9am-6pm Monday through Friday. On-site every day. The company offers quarterly activities, a casual dress code with jeans on Fridays, and excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, and supplemental coverage.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doral, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $33.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
