U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician in Stockton to maintain Ford and GMC trucks. The role offers hands-on work, with a paid hands-on interview and a $100 hiring bonus, plus opportunities to advance through training programs.

You will use U-Haul’s tools and proprietary tech, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to a safe, efficient fleet. Eligible candidates should have basic mechanical skills and a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Regular attendance and basic computer skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
