Job summary

Cook Solutions Group in Fairfield, CA is seeking an experienced Preventative Maintenance Technician to install, service, and commission electronic and physical security systems. You will work independently while collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years of security systems experience, and the ability to travel up to a week at a time. Pay is $25-$35 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–4 years of experience with electronic security systems installation and service.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring and electronic security equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to travel up to one week at a time.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on electronic and physical security systems.
• Install, wire, and configure electronic security equipment per project specs.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling.
• Test installed systems to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct customer training on installed systems.
• Complete site surveys as requested.
• Communicate project status and service updates with customers and management.
• Maintain accurate documentation including timesheets and change orders.
