Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to care for our fleet of Ford and GMC trucks at our Wauwatosa facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire and brake work, and use our proprietary pre-inspection checklist to keep vehicles road-ready for customers.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Repair fleet equipment based on pre-inspection repair lists.
• Efficiently push out 45 trucks of PM repairs with team per week.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles using a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
