U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician in Wauwatosa, WI to service Ford and GMC trucks and keep the fleet in top condition. You will join a team focused on reliability and growth through our Technician Training Program.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Basic computer skills expected.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Effective communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Repair fleet equipment based on pre-inspection repair lists.
• Efficiently push out 45 trucks of PM repairs with team per week.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor guidance.
