Job summary

Smurfit WestRock plc in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of production equipment and plant systems through routine preventive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, calibrate pneumatic components, maintain maintenance records, and work with the operations team to implement equipment improvements while following NFPA 70E safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Proven maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with relay logic, PLCs, and pneumatic systems; NFPA 70E knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and equipment including three-phase motors and PLCs.
• Calibrate and maintain pneumatic systems and other mechanical components to ensure peak performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and scheduled procedures.
• Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement equipment/process improvements.
• Adhere to safety standards including NFPA 70E and company policies.
