Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group West LLC is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician in Brigham City, UT to join a hands-on team focused on keeping operations safe and efficient. You will perform routine maintenance, inspect equipment, and document conditions to support uptime and longevity of production systems.

Responsibilities include inspections, lubrication, minor repairs, and collaboration with operators to ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic understanding of industrial mechanical systems: bearings, belts, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics.
Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery/equipment.
Willingness to work a continental night shift, 2-2-3, Noon to Midnight.
Technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or electrical systems.
1 year industrial or mechanical maintenance experience.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance Execution: perform PM tasks such as inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs using checklists.
Inspect conveyors, rollers, cranes, furnaces, cooling systems, and related equipment for wear or issues.
Use diagnostic tools to assess equipment condition and performance.
Record findings and completed work in logs and digital systems.
Collaborate with maintenance teammates and operators to communicate status and support smooth shift transitions.
Develop skills by learning new equipment and predictive maintenance technologies.
