Nucor is hiring a Maintenance Helper for the 2nd shift in Salt Lake City, UT. This role supports the maintenance team by preparing industrial equipment for heavy maintenance and readying the site for the next shift, including clearing debris, gathering tools, and operating equipment.

The candidate will proactively spot maintenance issues, work overtime as needed, and may receive forklift or skid steer training. A safety-focused, teamwork-driven environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd shift (4:00PM - 4:00AM).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including overtime and rotating shifts.
• Willingness to learn forklift, skid steer, and aerial lift operation.
• Able to perform basic physical labor and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance team by preparing industrial equipment for heavy maintenance.
• Prepare site for operation during the next shift; clear debris and gather tools.
• Operate equipment such as impact wrench and conveyors, install roller systems.
• Identify maintenance issues and escalate; train on forklift/skid steer when needed.
