Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician in Mobile, AL to service Ford and GMC trucks and keep our fleet in top condition for customers. The role includes hands-on maintenance, using proprietary tech, and opportunities for advancement.

You will join a team with a family atmosphere and participate in our Technician Training Program, with tools provided and a paid hands-on interview. A $100 hiring bonus is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
