U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to service our latest fleet, ensuring trucks stay in top condition for customers. The role offers hands-on learning through Ford, GMC, and U-Haul training programs and a paid hands-on interview process. A $100 hiring bonus is available.

Responsibilities include lifting trucks, lubricating suspensions, oil changes, tire and brake work, and occasional road tests. A strong mechanical aptitude and a team-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience required or preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
