Job summary

Vivent Health in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Prevention Specialist to provide confidential HIV, HCV, STI testing and counselling within a harm-reduction framework. You will educate, refer to PrEP and housing services, and perform outreach to priority populations across venues.

The role involves community events, CTR site establishment, and data reporting while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with HIV/AIDS, PrEP, and AODA issues preferred.
• Experience presenting to small and/or large groups.
• HIV Prevention Certified Provider or CHES certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the service delivery area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential and anonymous HIV, HCV, syphilis, and STI testing, counselling, and referral.
• Establish and implement CTR sites for priority populations.
• Distribute approved education materials and safer sex supplies.
• Conduct one-on-one educational sessions and referrals (e.g., PrEP, housing, employment).
• Perform regular outreach to bars, barber shops, treatment and recovery centers, and other venues frequented by priority populations.
• Plan and participate in community events (e.g., Pride Fest).
• Document all services in internal data systems and develop grant reports.
• Implement special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
