Job summary

Vivent Health is seeking a Prevention Specialist to provide anonymous HIV, HCV, and STI testing and counseling, while engaging priority populations with education and harm-reduction outreach.

You will establish CTR sites, distribute safer sex materials, and refer clients to PrEP, housing, and employment resources. Travel within the service area and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, PrEP, and AODA issues is preferred.
• Experience presenting to small and/or large groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential and anonymous HIV, HCV, syphilis, and STI testing and counseling.
• Establish CTR sites for priority populations.
• Distribute education and safer sex materials; provide safer injection supplies where applicable.
• Provide education sessions and referrals for internal and external services (e.g., PrEP, housing, employment).
• Perform outreach to bars, barber shops, recovery centers, and other venues frequented by priority populations.
• Plan and participate in community events engaging priority populations.
