Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a Community Support Specialist to empower clients and families toward long-term well-being.

You will provide evidence-based mental health services, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with families and professionals to coordinate care and support across settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, or
  • Bachelor’s in an unrelated field with two years related work experience, or
  • Four-year combination of higher education and two years related work experience, or
  • AAS in Behavioral Health Support fulfills requirements, or
  • Four years of qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services to individuals across age groups, including assessment and intervention.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
  • Participate in staff development to enhance youth mental health services.
  • Work with team members to ensure effective care coordination and client support.
