Job summary

Center For Family Services in New Jersey is seeking a Prevention Consultant to collaborate with school districts, consultants, and community providers to facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least three years of non-profit experience in prevention programs, plus a NJ driver's license and reliable vehicle for county-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field, experience in prevention programs.
• Minimum three years' experience in non-profit, social service environments in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs.
• Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and other materials related to training, coaching according to policies and procedures.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record.
• Vehicle with current insurance and valid registration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies, etc.
• Ability to work a rotating 1st and 3rd monthly Saturday schedule.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between all three counties that the Hub services.
• Assist in the programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes and evaluation of services to the target population.
• Reviewing and utilizing Evidence Based Practice material to create tier 1, and tier 2 presentations and workshops.
• Create live groups, webinars, for tier 1 services
• Participate in assembly style, and community events.
• There is the ability to work a hybrid schedule, if the Prevention Consultant is conducting a workshop at a school or community location closer to their home the Prevention Consultant can start their day from home. There is the ability to work remotely 2 days per week. This will be determined by the needs of the program. If program needs change the Prevention Consultant will be required to work in the office.
• Completion of hybrid work tracker on remote working days.

Monday - Friday, 35 total hours/week

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field, experience in the provision of prevention related programs.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience.
• Minimum three years' experience working in non-profit, social service environments in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs.
• Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and other materials related to training, coaching according to policies and procedures.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record.
• Vehicle with current insurance and valid registration.
