Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a capable prevention program specialist to collaborate with schools and community partners in Burlington County, NJ. The role includes planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention services and programs across diverse settings.
The position requires a Bachelor's in Human Services and at least three years in non-profit settings, with experience in evidence-based practices and stakeholder collaboration. Travel within the county is expected.
Collaborates with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies, etc. Will assist in the programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes and evaluation of services to target population. Assists in planning and implementing programs in schools and communities. Demonstrates the ability to effectively facilitate presentations and prevention programming for audiences of varying sizes; including classroom-based instruction, small groups, large school assemblies, and community events. Maintains alliances with organizations which have similar or allied goals, such as, school board, local law enforcement, healthcare providers, community centers and service providers. Will serve as a customer service provider to ensure a positive relationship in interactions with all participants, applying schools and community. Implements evidence-based prevention services and curricula with fidelity. Will travel throughout Burlington County to coordinate service delivery with schools. Works effectively with diverse populations by providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed prevention services.
The NJ4S Hub serves all schools within Burlington County and links parents and students to community services based on needs.
Full Time
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field, experience in the provision of prevention related programs. At least three (3) years’ experience working in non-profit, social service environment in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs. Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and other materials related to training, coaching according to policies and procedures. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience.
