Job Overview:
The Preventative Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance of commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance of commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Completes required paperwork (e.g., parts order, work order, timesheet) promptly.
• Communicates repair status updates with customers and branch offices.
• Uses proper tools for repairs, including hand tools and power tools.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are available.
• Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to Heritage standards and safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive, electrical, and mechanical issues is a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proper certifications or licensing as required by the state.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good driving record.

Working/Environmental Conditions:

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. frequently; over 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and ladder climbing.
• Extensive nightly travel with possible weekend and daily assignments.
• Exposure to hot grease from fryers.
• Occasional to frequent high-temperature environments (overheated kitchens, rooftops, etc.).
