Whaley Foodservice, LLC is a leading Southeast provider of commercial kitchen equipment repair with 600+ employees across 31 locations. We are hiring immediately for Service Technicians, offering a sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and a pay range of $17.00–$21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance of gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam equipment; completing required paperwork; and professional customer communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• If refrigeration – hands-on work experience and state-required certifications/licensing.
• High level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered equipment.
• Complete paperwork for every job on time (parts order, work order, timesheet).
• Communicate repairs and status professionally with customers.
• Use proper hand and power tools for repair.
• Monitor truck stock to insure required parts are stocked.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools and uniforms.

Major Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.
• Complete required paperwork for every job (parts order, work order, timesheet) on a timely basis.
• Communicate professionally with customer regarding required repairs and status.
• Use proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools.
• Monitor truck stock to insure required parts are stocked on vehicle.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools and uniforms.

Working/Environmental Conditions

• Work flexible hours and orovernight/weekendsto meet customer needs.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs with assistance.
• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
• Extensive daily travel to work site location with possible weekend and night assignments.
• Exposure to hot grease from fryers.
• Occasional to frequent exertion in high temperature environment (over heated kitchens, rooftops, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screening is required.
• Valid Driver's License and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
