Job summary

A Square Systems Inc in Missouri is seeking a mechanically minded Preventative Maintenance & Process Technician to develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for our metal finishing and electroplating operation. Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain a company-wide preventative maintenance schedule.

• Assist with cleanliness, filter changes, and general facility upkeep.
• Support process calculations, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and data analysis as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a mechanically minded, detail-orientedPreventative Maintenance & Process Technicianto help develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for our metal finishing and electroplating operation.

This position will play an important role in keeping our production equipment, tanks, pumps, rectifiers, racks, compressors, floors, and facility systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The candidate will receivedirect hands-on training from a long-term employee with approximately 40 years of experience with our processes and equipment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys mechanical problem-solving and wants to develop specialized knowledge in industrial maintenance, electroplating, chemistry, and manufacturing processes.

In addition to preventative maintenance, this position may assist withweekly process analysis, production setup, chemical/process calculations, troubleshooting, and other technical projectsbased on the individual's mathematical, mechanical, and chemistry skills.

Key Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance Program

• Help develop, organize, and maintain a company-wide preventative maintenance schedule.
• Establish routine maintenance intervals for production equipment and facility systems.
• Create and maintain maintenance records, checklists, and documentation.
• Track completed maintenance and identify upcoming maintenance needs.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions.
• Help establish procedures to prevent unexpected equipment failures and production downtime.
• Communicate maintenance needs and equipment concerns to management.

Production Equipment Maintenance

Perform and/or coordinate routine maintenance and inspections of equipment including:

• Plating and process tanks
• Rectifiers and electrical components
• Pumps and motors
• Filtration systems
• Air compressors and compressor filters
• Heating and cooling systems
• Production racks and fixtures
• Hoists and related equipment
• Process plumbing and piping
• Other production and facility equipment

Cleaning & Facility Maintenance

Develop and maintain schedules for routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including:

• Tank cleaning
• Rack cleaning and stripping
• Floor cleaning and housekeeping
• Filter replacement
• Pump inspection and maintenance
• Compressor filter replacement
• Removal of buildup from production equipment
• General equipment cleaning and inspection
• Identifying leaks, deterioration, corrosion, or other potential problems

Process & Technical Support

Depending on experience and demonstrated ability, assist with:

• Weekly process analysis
• Chemical/process calculations
• Production process setup
• Tank and solution calculations
• Equipment setup and adjustment
• Troubleshooting process or equipment problems
• Reviewing process data and identifying trends
• Assisting with chemical additions and process adjustments
• Supporting quality and production personnel with technical issues
• Developing more efficient and consistent procedures

We are a small family-owned business who specializes in high-quality, quick turnaround metal finishing services. Located in Dardenne Prairie, MO, the company serves customers across the Midwest and beyond. In July of 2023, A Square Systems relocated to a larger facility to better meet the needs of the manufacturing community.

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Guaranteed 40 hours per week | Eligibility for overtime after 2 months | Eligibility for pay increase after first month of employment |

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
