Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality's Hyatt Place Huntsville Research Park Redstone is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to keep guest areas and facilities running smoothly. You’ll handle repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and pool systems, and respond to work orders to maintain high guest comfort.

This full-time role involves safety-conscious maintenance, professional guest interactions, and teamwork in a hotel setting with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific)

Responsibilities

• Fix-It Pro: Master the art of preventative maintenance—whether it’s swapping bulbs, patching vinyl, touching up paint, or repairing furniture and tiles, you’ll keep everything looking sharp and running smoothly.
• Equipment Whisperer: Take charge of repairs and tune-ups for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen gadgets, laundry gear, HVAC systems, and even the swimming pool and hot tub, ensuring peak performance all around.
• Safety Hero: Respond quickly to alarms, investigate their cause, and report findings to the Front Desk, keeping everyone safe and in the know.
• Trusted Access: Act responsibly with access to sensitive hotel areas and information—including safes, master keys, storage rooms, and secured files—always maintaining a high level of integrity and trust.
• Guest Connection: Interact with guests and colleagues, sometimes unsupervised, represent the company with professionalism and good judgment, and drive safely when needed for business.
