Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a seasoned professional to own Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage functions. The role requires interpreting regulatory requirements, ensuring compliant payroll practices, and guiding team members across multiple states.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary resource for complex wage issues, partner with Operations and Project teams, and help implement scalable processes while supporting audits and government requests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience with direct Certified Payroll/Prevailing Wage experience.
• Proficiency in Excel; formulas, pivot tables, data management.
• Sage 300 CRE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Certified Payroll/Prevailing Wage compliance across multiple states.
• Review projects to identify applicable payroll and reporting requirements.
• Oversee preparation and timely submission of certified payroll reports (WH-347 and others).
• Coordinate with Operations, Project Management, Contracting, and Payroll to ensure upfront compliance.
