Job summary

Sarasota County Government is seeking a Pretrial Services Supervision Unit Supervisor in Sarasota County. The role leads day-to-day operations, supervises staff, conducts data analysis, and evaluates outcomes related to court appearances and public safety.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and leader who collaborates across Court Administration, judiciary, and justice partners to promote effective pretrial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, or 6 years of professional experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of criminal justice practices, court procedures, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and evaluate Pretrial Services staff; support training, development, recruitment.
• Monitor case management activities with audits and reviews.
• Oversee program performance by analyzing data and outcomes.
• Develop and implement program improvements and evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with laws, directives, and CJIS requirements.
• Collaborate with Court Administration, judiciary, justice partners, and community stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports and communicate program information to leadership and partners.
• Provide operational leadership including handling escalated cases and director's absence.
