Valmont Group in Bartow, Florida, is seeking a Design Engineer to perform engineering, design and drafting of prestressed concrete poles, ensuring project goals and manufacturability. You will oversee structural analysis, interpret customer specs, coordinate with sales, and support operations to meet specifications.

As an individual contributor, you will use Finite Element Method software and other tools, collaborate with principal engineers, and stay current with manufacturing capabilities

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project).
• Working knowledge of 3D Computer-Aided Design Software.
• Travel up to 10% of the time. May include international travel.

Mansioni

• Analyze and design products by Finite Element Method and other structural design software taking into consideration safety and cost.
• Interpret customer specifications, needs, and market/sales needs.
• Understand fabrication processes and QA requirements and methods used by Valmont.
• Communicate engineering data to the customer and others, including cost-related quotation details and drawings.
• Recommend changes in design criteria and drafting procedures, and develop new methods.
• Provide engineering solutions for field/manufacturing issues and ongoing product improvements.

Formazione

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
