Job summary

TÜV SÜD America, Inc. is seeking inspectors to perform boiler and pressure vessel inspections across field and shop locations. You will witness tests, report nonconformities, and ensure compliance with ASME and National Board codes.

Travel to customer sites is required; there is emphasis on thorough documentation, safety, and collaboration with internal teams and customers to resolve non-conformities. A relevant license and certifications are necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid boiler inspections credentials as required by jurisdiction
• Endorsements in ASME or National Board codes are preferred
• Technical training or apprenticeship in boilermaking/pipefitting/steamfitting is expected
• Engineering/tech degrees are a plus
• Minimum one year in pressure equipment industry (inspection/maintenance/engineering)

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure code compliance
• Witness pressure tests per jurisdictional requirements
• Conduct inspections at field and shop locations per ASME and NB codes
• Document inspection results and report nonconformities
• Carry out Loss Control inspections per internal policies
• Manage inspection activities to meet codes, jurisdiction rules, and procedures
• Support engineering evaluations and recommend solutions for non-conformities with internal teams and customers

CWI/API-510/API-570 certifications advantageous
