Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a Munich Re subsidiary, seeks a field inspector to perform ASME/NBIC inspections and ensure compliance with international standards. You will identify customers and lead marketing visits, expanding our footprint in defined territories while working with limited supervision to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications include multiple education and experience paths (high school plus industry experience or engineering degrees or military training).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related industry experience.
• 4+ years in pressure equipment industry per NB-263/RCI-1 including boilers/repairs.
• ASNT Level II/III NDE experience and boiler/pressure vessel knowledge.
• Alternative pathways with military/merchant marine training or engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASME and NBIC inspections per code and standards.
• Perform inspections per Pressure Equipment Directive and international standards.
• Identify potential customers and conduct marketing and sales visits.
• Operate with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgement.
• Travel to other territories as workload requires.
